Community members gathered in Cranberry yesterday to celebrate a new partnership for the sports complex.
UPMC Passavant took over the naming rights of Graham Park on a 10-year deal. The event yesterday unveiled the new large sign that is near the soccer fields and can be seen from I-79.
Mike Manipole is the vice chairman for the Cranberry Township Board of Supervisors.
“We want to provide opportunities for mental health, physical health, and physical well-being of all our residents,” Manipole said. “It’s a really nice mesh with our philosophy and UPMC’s because they do see eye-to-eye.”
Graham Park has numerous baseball fields, soccer fields, pickleball courts, and a dek hockey rink. Manipole says having vibrant parks is a part of the mission for the board of supervisors.
“Our commitment is to always give people a place to go and a place for families to be,” Manipole said. “We’re not just talking the mom, dad, and children, but grandparents and aunt and uncles where everyone can be a part of our family.”
The UPMC Passavant Sportsplex at Graham Park is located off of Rochester Road.
