A local Fire Company will receive federal money to help with operational expenses.
The Cranberry Fire Company has been awarded a Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response grant of over $836,000 by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
Cranberry can use the money any time between June of this year and June of 2027 to pay for personal protective equipment, tuition and training assistance, stipend staffing, and marketing.
Fire and Emergency Services Chief Scott Garing believes that the added incentive of this funding will help with attracting and maintaining new talent.
