Cranberry Township Police are warning residents to be aware of two separate Penn Power scams that have happened over the past few weeks.
Police say the first scam is a phone call that offers residents 40 percent off their Penn Power electric bill if they accept the offer. The scam will even have a Penn Power caller ID and phone number, but police say the number has been spoofed and that you should hang up.
The second scam involves people going door-to-door offering surge protection. However, Penn Power doesn’t have employees selling services door-to-door.
Should you have any questions about your Penn Power account, police say to call Penn Power directly.
