Cranberry police will be using a new tool to help them better protect and serve this year.
Four Township officers have received certification from the International Police Mountain Bike Association and the township has purchased three specially outfitted mountain bikes.
Officers on bike patrols will be able to interact more closely with people at events or in parks along pedestrian pathways.
Bike officers will also take a lead role in the Cranberry Bike Safety Rodeo which is coming up Saturday, July 16th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
