Cranberry Township recently sold some equipment that was no longer needed through an online auction company.
Municibid sells surplus items from local governments and through the service Cranberry was able to collect a total of nearly $17,000.
Items sold include a 2012 Dodge Charger police special for $8,000, a 1987 Massey Ferguson backhoe for just over $7,000, and a 2003 Ford Explorer V6 with a few mechanical issues for about $1,300.
Anyone can register to bid in these auctions. Participants do not need to be public employees.
