Cranberry Township has adopted a new budget for 2017 and it includes a new labor agreement with the police department.
The budget does not include any tax increases but it does include nearly $28 million in upgrades planned for the Brush Creek wastewater treatment plant.
The collective bargaining agreement between the township and the Cranberry Police Department provides for a 2.5 percent average annual wage increase over the four year contract as well as a high deductible health plan.
The budget is fully funded using revenue from taxes, user fees, grants, and other sources.
