Cranberry Township taxes will be going up slightly in 2016.
The Township’s final budget was approved last week and included a quarter mil increase in the Fire Fund portion of the real estate tax.
The additional revenue will be used to support Cranberry’s volunteer fire company as they continue to develop a Strategic Plan.
The increase from 2.12 mils to 2.37 mils in the Fire Fund amounts to about a $6 increase for the average homeowner in the township.
