The first of two classes about installing and operating rain barrels will be held Tuesday in Cranberry Township.
The class will meet at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers at the Cranberry Township Municipal Center. Everyone who participates in the class will be given a rain barrel to install at their home, which is a $150 value.
Rain barrels attach to the downspout of a house and allow for retention of up to 55 gallons of water to use for lawn and garden irrigation.
The cost of the class is $30 and seating is limited. The other rain barrel class will be held Monday, May 9.
