Customers at a Cranberry Township grocery store had to evacuate yesterday due to the smell of gas inside the building.
Crews were called to the Aldi inside the Cranberry Mall on Route 19 just after 11 a.m. yesterday.
After an investigation, firefighters found a high meter reading at the Homegoods store next door. Dispatchers say a malfunctioning piece of equipment was to blame.
Crews were able to clear the scene within an hour.
