The number of COVID cases continues to accelerate in Butler County.
According to the Department of Health, there were 520 new cases over the past seven days for the county. That’s 156 more than last week.
There were also two more additional deaths, bringing the death toll to 430 for Butler.
Butler Memorial Hospital is treating 23 patients for the coronavirus, with two COVID patients in the ICU.
Statewide hospitalizations continue to rise week-over-week, with more than 1,800 people now receiving treatment for the coronavirus. That’s up about 200 from last week.
