A local couple is filing a lawsuit alleging negligence by Butler Health System.
The Lindsay Law Firm has filed a complaint on behalf of Jeramie Miller Sr and Kelly Miller against Butler Memorial Hospital following an incident that occurred on November 16th.
On that day the Millers brought their one year old child to the hospital for treatment of a cut on his head. Kelly Miller and the child were checked into the emergency room and placed in a wheelchair. An individual named Elijah Flick-Geibel was placed near Miller and allegedly began “glaring” at her and the child.
Miller maintains that stood up to take her child away from the situation but was followed down the hall by Flick-Geibel. Flick-Geibel allegedly struck the child in the face. The suit alleges that hospital staff failed to protect Miller and her child during this unprovoked attack.
A representative of Butler Health System told our newsroom that the organization does not comment publically on legal action.
