An elderly couple escaped a house fire safely Friday afternoon in Butler City.
According to Butler County Emergency Services, the call came into Butler County 911 at 3:52 p.m. for a fire at 317 West Fulton Street. According to the couple, something exploded on the back porch causing fire to spread to the inside of the house.
No injuries have been reported and the couple was able to get their dog out of the house safely as well.
