Butler County will hold a new and special event for veterans this summer…a 1,000 veteran march.
The march will be on Flag Day- Tuesday, June 14- at 5:30 p.m. down Butler’s Main Street (it will travel from Main & Penn streets south to the courthouse). Activities will follow in Diamond Park.
Vets can call the Butler County Veteran Services to sign up (724-284-53-2) through April 15. The march is free but a $10 donation will get a participant a T-shirt. Veterans are encouraged to check with their American Legion or VFW posts because many are paying the $10 donation for their members.
Proceeds will benefit the Veterans In Need Foundation and money will stay in Butler County.
