Young people interested in learning more about caring for children are welcome to take advantage of classes being offered.
The Butler County Parks and Recreation Department is conducting several Safe Sitter Babysitter Training Classes. The first is Saturday, Feb. 27 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Slippery Rock Park Building.
The class is designed for ages 11 to 15 and emphasizes prevention, safety, responsibility, leadership and professionalism.
The cost of the class is $49 and includes all materials needed. Class size is limited and pre-registration is required. Call 724-284-5383 for more information.
