A project to spruce up the Butler County Courthouse and Government Center remains ongoing.
Work started last year to replace the sidewalks and drains and fix problems with the foundation of the Butler County Courthouse. The majority of that work is finished.
At the Government Center, which sits behind the courthouse, work continues on the replacement of the building’s façade due to deterioration. Other work is being done on the center’s sidewalks and to its front entrance.
Chairman of the board of commissioners Leslie Osche said during a meeting Wednesday that the project is still on target to come in on budget at $3.5 million.
