We reported earlier this week that new upgrades are coming to Father Marinaro Park. But there are more county parks that will also be improving this year.
The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources awarded five other county parks with funding for renovations. Some of the highlights include…
- Adams Township Community Park received $250,000 for an expansion project.
- Allegheny Land Trust got a $313,000 grant to preserve 53 acres of land in Middlesex Township.
- Alameda Park will be receiving nearly $200,000 in general upgrades.
- Middlesex Township’s park will be getting new playground equipment and other improvements.
Overall, the county received over $1 million in state funding for these projects.
