County elected officials and personnel who wish to park underneath the new government center annex will have to pay $50 per month to do so.
The Butler County commissioners approved the charge at their meeting Wednesday, with Commissioner Jim Eckstein dissenting because he thought the price was too low.
Commissioner Bill McCarrier said the $50 fee was chosen because it was the same amount that it costs to park in the tier garage on West Cunningham Street.
The government annex building is still under construction and sits directly next door to the county Government Center. The parking garage will be located underneath the center and offer limited spots.
