Despite mild conditions for the holidays, officials in the county are reminding residents of an alert service to inform them of emergency situations.
The county’s CodeRED system is the emergency alert system that lets people know about severe weather events like flooding and storms, along with other potentially life threatening events and situation.
More than 100,000 people have signed up for the free alert system.
