Butler County and the Butler County Conservation District have separated.
Butler County Commissioner Kim Geyer said after months of assessment, the county has decided to approach agriculture and farming in a different framework.
There will still be a conservation district and the county will still contribute money to the organization.
The split will take effect June 30, 2017.
