Butler County now has a new subdivision and land ordinance.
The county is required to update the policy every 10 years and commissioners voted unanimously to approve the new guidance.
Officials say there is very little change to the previous ordinance, but they believe the updated language provides more clarity and consistency.
The ordinance is used as a basis for municipalities in the county that don’t have specific zoning boards and policies.
