Butler County’s election bureau will have a new software available to them this fall.
County commissioners approved the purchase of cell phones that members of the elections department will use for the new Easy Vote app.
Officials say it will allow the bureau to keep better track of the inventory and the chain of custody. The phones will scan items that go to polling places—like tables, chairs, and scanners.
However, Easy Vote doesn’t have access to voter registration information or computation software.
