The Butler County commissioners voted Wednesday to accept new agreements with two of the county’s bargaining units.
Both units are represented by the Service Employees International Union, Local 668. They include the 67 court-appointed clerical and technical employees and 66 court-related clerical and technical workers.
The four-year contracts include a 2.5 percent pay increase for this year and a 3 percent increase for the following three years.
County Solicitor Mike English said because the decisions went to an arbitrator, the commissioners had no choice but to accept them.
Two of the county’s eight bargaining units are still without contracts. All county union contracts expired in December 2014.
