Butler City Council is expected to vote this week on a proposal to increase the cost of parking, as well as some administrative fees.
The motion that will be on the meeting agenda for this Thursday would increase the cost for a parking permit by $5 per month for virtually all of the city’s lots.
Spaces going from $60 to $65 per month include spots in the Tier, Centre City and McKean Deck garages, as well as the North Street and North Main Street lots. Other lots would increase from $40 to $45 and $25 to $30. Street meter parking permits would rise from $45 to $50.
Some commercial plan review fees would also increase under this plan, as well as municipal engineering hourly rates.
