The City of Butler still doesn’t have a Fire Chief and now, city council will begin looking outside the city and advertising for the job.
Council made the decision Thursday night after officials say no interest was expressed for the position from within the department.
The process will remain open for 30 days at which time interviews will begin with interested candidates.
