Butler City Council has approved a couple of bids for upcoming construction projects.
The city will pay EC Masonry just over $59,000 for renovations to the exterior of the Butler City Building. This project will include masonry repair of loose bricks and the front stairs as well as other inspections.
The city will also spend nearly $75,000 for culvert replacement on Cunningham Street as part of an agreement with Bauer Excavating Incorporated. This project to replace a box culvert near Monroe Street was re-bid allowing the city to save about $50,000 while helping to address flooding issues that have occurred in that area.
Both projects are expected to be completed sometime around the end of September or the beginning of October.
