Throughout the course of the Trump rally last night, everyone on stage took time to honor Corey Comperatore, who died at the July 13th rally at the Farm Show.
“Every father and husband in America hopes that if the time came, we would have what Corey had; tremendous courage and tremendous guts. He wanted to protect his family and he did,” former President Donald Trump said.
JD Vance also took time to honor the former Buffalo Township volunteer fire department member.
“We’re never going to forget Corey. We’ll never forget his heroism that day,” Vance said.
He then asked for the crowd to pay their respects to Comperatore and his family. Comperatore’s family, including his wife and two daughters, were in the crowd and received a standing ovation from the audience.
A moment of silence was held at 6:11 p.m., which was the same time shots began to fire at the July 13th rally. A tribute of “Ave Maria” was also performed.
