You may have an inkling to order a pumpkin space latte this weekend as a hint of fall will be in the air.
After going weeks with warm temperatures and high humidity, the region is set for a relative cool down heading into the weekend. Highs are not expected to get out of the 70s starting Friday and potentially lasting through next week.
But, it’s the overnight lows that really jump out. With clear skies and no humidity, the National Weather Service is predicting a low of 49 degrees Friday night.
According to AccuWeather, “a slow-moving cold front has been responsible for heavy rain and flooding in recent days across the Ohio Valley and Appalachians. This front will pick up some steam in the coming days and will dip southward across much of the region, ushering in a new weather pattern through the start of the weekend.”
In addition to the cooler temps, there should be plenty of sunshine over the next couple of days. The National Weather Service says the next chance of rain is in the afternoon and evening Sunday.
