A local business will hold a cookout afternoon to benefit a Butler County mother who was killed last week.
Missy Barto was an employee of Miller’s Quality Meats in Butler up until her death last week. The business announced it will hold a cookout in front of the store from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday to benefit Barto’s family and her 6-year-old daughter.
The North Main Street business said Missy and her team setup a cookout every Friday during lunch hour.
Investigators believe Barto was shot and killed by her boyfriend.
