A convicted bank robber from Slippery Rock who escaped from federal custody will spend another year in prison as a result.
In 2016, 43-year-old Walter Tribble was in the middle of a three-year stint at a halfway house following nine years in prison for three armed bank robbery convictions.
Prosecutors say in December of 2016, he was allowed to leave the house in Pittsburgh to go to a business. He was supposed to be back by a specific time that evening but never returned.
U.S. marshals found in Crawford County in January 2017. This past Friday, Tribble was sentenced to spend another year behind bars.
