A contractor accused of scamming thousands of dollars from customers- including some in Butler County- has turned himself in to authorities.
Noah Proud, 42, of Allegheny County is accused of running a fake deck building company. Officials say Proud came to the Wilsons Ridge neighborhood near Evans City back in March and signed contracts with four local families to build decks, took upfront money from them and then never came back.
Police believe there are other victims out there. If you’ve been scammed, you’re asked to call Butler State Police.
