Some downtown businesses are being greatly affected by three simultaneous construction projects in Butler, but they are open for customers.
The projects, near the west end of Butler, are a water main reconstruction, a sewer main reconstruction project, and the replacement of a bridge on Cunningham Street by the Medicine Shoppe..
Mike Williams, owner of Battery Warehouse, told us that it may look a bit confusing for drivers but it is possible to get to any of the businesses in that part of town.
Williams says that at times, cones have been put up to weave drivers around construction equipment. He also say that if it appears that you cannot get through, just let one of the workers know where you are going and they will let you through.
Along with Battery Warehouse, Pizza Hut, NAPA Autoparts, Sunoco, Hovis Autoparts, Alexander’s BBQ, Shell Gas Station, Al’s Barber Shop, the Huddle Lounge, Sehman Tire and the Medicine Shoppe are affected.
All businesses continue to be open with regular hours. The projects are expected to last through the entire summer.
