Work on the Butler Transit Authority building addition continues to be delayed by material shortages.
According to Executive Director John Paul, “construction has come to a standstill” at the Hollywood Drive building due to material delays with customized glass for windows and doors.
This new waiting area is now on schedule for completion sometime in late May or early June. A ribbon cutting ceremony is likely to take place sometime in September but the facility could be opened for public use before that.
A total of about $3 million is being spent on this project with 80% of funding coming from the federal government and the other 20% from state and local sources.
