A proposed state constitutional amendment may be taken off the ballot for the upcoming primary election.
The amendment in question raises the mandatory retirement age for Pennsylvania judges from 70 to 75.
It was set to be voted on this month but the amendment’s sponsor, Rep. Kate Harper, says the wording on the ballot is confusing. And, there will be more people voting on the measure if it’s placed on the general election ballot in November.
A resolution to postpone the vote passed the House Judiciary Committee. It now heads to the full House.
