A new firehouse is being planned for the Connoquenessing Volunteer Fire Company.
The move comes after township supervisors approved an increase in the fire tax.
Members of the volunteer fire company say the revenue will go toward a much needed new facility.
The building is expected to go near on the plot of land near the fork in the road of Route 68 and Main Street in Connoquenessing. The fire company has owned the property for 45 years.
Ground could break late next year with the move scheduled by mid-2023.
