Donations are continuing to pour in to help a local family after their son was killed in a car accident earlier this week.
A GoFundMe account set up to help Cameron Ashton’s family with his funeral expenses has nearly reached its goal of $5,000.
An online memorial page was also established as a tribute to Ashton’s life.
Cameron was a 16-year-old junior at Knoch High School and a member of the football and wrestling team. He aspired to be a programmer and was enrolled in the computer science program at the Butler County VoTech.
He and his friend were traveling home from the VoTech on Wednesday when the driver lost control on Route 8. Cameron was thrown from the vehicle and killed.
