A Butler County mother who police believe was shot to death by her boyfriend will be remembered this week.
A memorial service for 26-year-old Melissa Barto will be held Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church Crossfire Campus in Center Township.
On Friday, Miller’s Quality Meats in Butler, where Barto worked, held a benefit cookout for Barto’s daughter and family. Hundreds of people came out to support Barto. We’re told about 1,000 hot dogs and sausages were sold.
Investigators believe Barto was shot and killed earlier this month by her boyfriend. Ishemer Ramsey is in the Butler County Prison charged with homicide.
