After Cranberry Township was gifted over 70 acres of farm land, an advisory committee has now made recommendations for its future.
The Powell Farm was donated to Cranberry Township, with the requirement that it remain farmland in the future.
An advisory committee was established and has outlined the goals of the farm.
The committee says the vision includes preserving the property in perpetuity, while also producing farm-fresh items for sale.
It will serve as an agricultural facility that “thrives on public engagement while generating revenue to sustain the land and its operation.”
