Arguments for a speedy hearing will be held later today in regards to a lawsuit Butler County has filed against Governor Tom Wolf Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine.
County Commissioner Leslie Osche said arguments will be held before a judge today at 3 p.m. The county is seeking to speed up the trial after Commissioners Osche and Kim Geyer officially ratified the lawsuit two weeks ago.
Also at today’s public meeting, the Commissioners voted two to one to ratify their support of an Amicus Curiae, or a “friend of the courts,” brief that was filed with the Supreme Court in a similar lawsuit that was filed against Wolf and Levine.
Commissioner Kevin Boozel voted against both the lawsuit that the county filed and the Amicus Curiae Brief.
