The Butler County public meetings are back underway and so again is a public comment session dominated by talk of the 2020 election.
A group of people have continually shown up at the meetings believing that the 2020 election was fraudulent and asking for a forensic audit. Another group of voters have also been on hand to express their confidence in the results and belief the county should move on.
Meanwhile, Butler County Commissioners say they are “narrowing down the concerns of the 2020 election” and looking at a procedural review done by a third party.
A timeline of when that review was not discussed by commissioners.
Commissioner Kevin Boozel did say that when a state mandated recount of the 2021 election happened this past year, the margin of error was extraordinarily slim.
