June is National Dairy Month and a few young dairy advocates were honored yesterday by Butler County Commissioners.
The Dairy Maids and Lil’ Maids were recognized at the public meeting where the commissioners commended their efforts on behalf of Butler’s dairy industry.
Daisy Snow is one of Butler County’s Dairy Maids and she spoke at the public meeting.
“We are grateful to educate consumers how hardworking Butler County dairy farms care for their animals, their environment, their communities, and the quality of milk their cows produce,” Snow said.
The Dairy Maids normally spend the summer at various events promoting the area’s dairy industry, but with the coronavirus pandemic canceling fairs and festivals, the commissioners said they would be willing to help the dairy maids get their message out.
