The Butler County commissioners have made several appointments to the Butler County Community College board of trustees.
Sarah Forbes and Carmine Scotece were both appointed to fill unexpired terms. Bruce Mazzoni, Gordon Marburger and Scott McDowell were reappointed.
The commissioners agreed on all appointments except for Scotece, who was the former (and longtime) director of human services for the county. Commissioner Jim Eckstein voted against his appointment because he said he wants to see more diversity on the board.
Commissioner Dale Pinkerton defended Scotece saying he was an exceptional department director and could not understand any vote against him.
