Butler County has approved the terms of a new union contract that affects 250 county workers in three groups.
The commissioners voted Wednesday to unanimously approve the terms with the Service Employees International Union Local 668, which runs from Jan. 1 of this year through Dec. 31 of 2022.
The employees are administrative professionals, administrative clerical and technical employees and court-appointed clerical and technical employees.
The county’s 911 dispatchers, sheriff’s deputies and Children and Youth Services caseworkers are among the employees who now have a four-year contract with the county.
