The BlueSox are returning to the City of Butler this weekend.
After holding their first practice last Friday and beginning the year with road games in Youngstown on Wednesday and Dubois on Friday, the BlueSox will play their first home game Sunday at 7 p.m.
Their opponent will be the Iron Bucks which will also call Michelle Krill Field at Historic Pullman Park home for the 2020 season. The teams will meet again for a game Monday at 7 p.m.
Attendance will be limited to 249 spectators with some changes in concession operations. Signs will instruct patrons about social distancing guidelines as well as to locations of hand sanitizing stations.
The seven member Tri-State League has been forced to modify their schedule due to COVID-19 mandated closures and shutdowns as two Allegheny County based teams are still looking for home field sites.
A team called the BlueSox last played at Pullman Park in 2018 as a member of the Prospect League. Last summer, two other teams from the Tri-State Collegiate League played games at Pullman Park.
