A pair of Butler County teachers were among 33 educators from four states recognized with Great Teacher Awards from Saint Vincent College.
Charlesa Fassinger of Mars High School and Timonthy Mengel of Slippery Rock High School were selected, as well as Debbie Cooke of Trinitas Study Center in Grove City.
The award recognizes “excellence in teaching that provides a positive and enduring influence on students.”
The teachers were nominated by former students who are now freshman at Saint Vincent College.
