Coastal Carolina defeated Arizona 4-3 last night to win the College Baseball World Series. It was the Chanticleers first national championship in any sport. They are also the first team since 1956 to win the title in their first College World Series appearance. Coastal Carolina won the series 2-1 and finished their season 55-18. Arizona finshed 49-24.
The Butler BlueSox dropped their third consecutive game to the West Virginia Miners following a 6-2 decision last night.
