State Police are investigating after nearly $6,000 was discovered missing from Clinton Township.
According to township Solicitor Mike Gallagher, auditors came across an irregularity in the township’s books earlier this month. It was brought to the attention of the township supervisors, who then voted to fire bookkeeper Maggie Nelson.
The theft has been turned over to State Police in Butler. So far, no charges have been filed.
