Another anchor store at the Clearview Mall is moving out.
A press release from Sears has confirmed that the Clearview Mall store is one of 10 closing nationally at the end of July.
Sears says that its goal with closing the stores as well as 68 Kmart stores is to restore the company to profitability. The Kmart store in Butler is not affected.
The Clearview Mall has lost Bon-Ton and Dicks Sporting Goods in recent years but still has stores like Boscov’s, J.C. Penny and T.J. Maxx. A liquidation sale at Sears will begin next Friday (4/29).
