A Clean-Up Blitz will take place tomorrow in the city of Butler as residents continue to clean up from last month’s disastrous flooding.
Officials say work still needs to be done on about 20 city homes, including yard cleanup, power washing, sanitizing basements, removing debris and tackling mold.
Residents who still need help and haven’t already contacted 211 should do so to be added to the blitz.
If you can’t help clean but would like to donate monetarily, you can donate to the Butler Emergency Relief Initiative through the United Way. Those funds are helping fix and replace water heaters and furnaces in about 40 city homes for residents who can’t afford to do so themselves.
