A Clarion County residence suffered significant damage in a fire that was started by children late last week.
According to the State Police in Clarion, a Hawthrone Borough home suffered nearly $20,000 in damages after a fire started in a 2nd floor bedroom late Friday morning.
After an investigation by the State Police Fire Marshal, and the Hawthrone Fire Department, officials concluded that the fire was started by several young children who were playing with a lighter prior to the fire.
No injuries were reported.
