An accidental fire caused extensive damage at a residence in neighboring Clarion County earlier this week.
According to State Police, shortly after 3 a.m. Monday (11/21) the Rimersburg Hose Company responded to a house on Fink Road in Toby Township.
A woman had been awakened by her dog barking and the smell of something burning. She was able to get her two children out of the house and call 911. No injuries were reported but the house and contents sustained about $100,000 in damage.
The PA State Police Fire Marshal Unit determined that the fire was caused by an electrical malfunction behind an entertainment center in the living room that caused surrounding combustible materials to ignite.
